POP'PEA is about the emperor nero's sordid exploits and love interests that eventually lead to the downfall of the roman empire. Max la villa and peter howard's adaptation and orchestration of the early 1600s italian opera is both dark and futuristic in the most tasteful way, this combination creates the dark hearted mood that highlights the sordid depravity in the darker days of the roman empire. truly, a bitter sweet love story with tragic circumstance.

Playing mostly Roland drum modules and triggers, I am going to document my exploits and work on this very exciting take on opera via pictures, thoughts and videos of the process.
